My Black Dog – Big Bash

Last week our founders Hollie and Steve, were delighted to attended a charity event held in London.

My Black Dog is a charity that offers peer-to-peer support for people who are struggling with their mental health. It’s a FREE online chat service available 24/7, which means that they can offer vital support any time of the day or night. All of the volunteers are people who have lived experiences of their own mental health battles and so understand what is needed to support those in need.

The ‘Big Bash’ fundraiser and celebration of My Black Dog’s 4th birthday, was held at Boisdale restaurant, Canary Wharf, London. The evening consisted of a delicious 5-course meal, surprise entertainment and a live auction.

Over the evening Hollie & Steve had the privilege of meeting some of the biggest names in Sport, TV and Radio such as Eddy Temple-Morris, Sir Rod Stewart, Gaby Roslin, and Chris Evans who each hosted tables.

All in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, but more importantly, supporting a charity who are doing such an incredible job of helping those with mental health issues is something that is very close to their hearts.

We wanted to take the opportunity to help create awareness by sharing what an incredible night it was, shared with many ambassadors, patrons, trustees and volunteers who all play their part in making a difference.
