Instant Home takes home the Judges Award at The Hunts Post Huntingdonshire Business Awards 2017
As we reported on our blog back in September, we were shortlisted for the Huntingdonshire Business Awards in the Small Business of the Year category. With an air of excitement and anticipation, we donned our glad rags and headed out for the glittering awards ceremony held at The Burgess Hall in St Ives on Friday 3rd November.
We were up against some very stiff competition in our category with several other excellent local businesses shortlisted. Small Business of the Year was the second award announced, so our nerves didn’t have too long to build! We won’t say we weren’t disappointed when the announcement came and it wasn’t us, but it was a very well deserved win for wearable technology firm Activinsights. So, then we were all able to relax and enjoy the rest of the evening, proud of ourselves for being one of the five businesses shortlisted for the prestigious award.
Little did we know, that the evening was not yet over for us. When all the awards had been announced we started to think about making our way back home before we turned into pumpkins. BBC Look East presenter Stewart White was compering the evening and he started to talk about another award to be given out, this was the Judges Award. When he announced Instant Home as the winner we nearly fell off our seats! We were completely surprised and absolutely thrilled to win. We were particularly commended for our outstanding commitment to customer service, which means a great deal to us.
This year marked the 20th anniversary of the Huntingdonshire Business Awards, which is nearly as long as Instant Home has been going, as we started in 2000. Daniel Mansfield, content editor at The Hunts Post, said: “These awards provide recognition for companies and individuals who are contributing to the business success, innovation, best practice and positive environmental and community impact in Huntingdonshire.
“They are, undoubtedly, the district’s leading awards for excellent business practice and have become hugely prestigious and highly valued, reflecting the achievement of winning companies.

And we are so very proud that Instant Home is one of these businesses. Now we are preparing ourselves for an even bigger and better 2018, with new offices and continued growth, we carry with us the sparkles and pride from the award ceremony.
