TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all rental items provided by Instant Home Ltd, including, but not limited to, rental furniture, home accessories and electrical goods.

1. General

2. Quotes

• 2.1 All quotes are valid for 28 days from the date shown on the quote.

3. Payments

• 3.1 Payment to Instant Home can be made by debit card, bank transfer and cheque. Credit cards are accepted but are subject to a 2.5% surcharge.

• 3.2 Domestic Furniture Hire

  • 3.2.1 Payment to Instant Home can be made by debit card, bank transfer and cheque. Credit cards are accepted but are subject to a 2.5% surcharge.
  • 3.2.2 Subsequent hire payments are made by Standing Order every calendar month thereafter.
  • 3.2.3 Monthly hire payments are due on the same date in the month that the contract began. Payments overdue by 3 days or more will be subject to interest at 4% above Lloyds TSB base rate.

• 3.3 Show home/Display Furniture

  • 3.3.1 Three months hire (+VAT) is payable in advance (cleared funds).
  • 3.3.2 On expiry of the initial three months, hire payments are due on the same date in the month that the contract began. Payments overdue by 3 days or more will be subject to interest at 4% above Lloyds TSB base rate.

4. Contract Termination

• 4.1 This contract can be terminated with 14 days written notice. Should the contract be terminated before the end of the minimum contract period, all hire payments to the end of the minimum contract period will become due. Payment will be required prior to the collection of items.
• 4.2 All cancelled orders will be subject to a £500.00 plus VAT charge that will be deducted from any advance payment.

5. Delivery & Installation

• 5.1 Delivery charges are determined on mileage and are subject to a minimum charge of £50 plus VAT. Any Toll/congestion charges due will be additional to the quoted delivery and collection charge.
• 5.2 Delivery Charges are due prior to delivery of items (cleared funds).
• 5.3 The Hirer must ensure, close, non chargeable parking and access is available for the delivery of items.
• 5.4 The fixing/hanging of any item hired is the responsibility of the Hirer, Instant Home Ltd does not accept any liability for damage caused whatsoever.
• 5.5 The installation and collection of all items, within communal and address area, is undertaken at the hirer's own risk and Instant Home Ltd does not accept any liability for any damage whatsoever.

6. Deposit

• 6.1 The security deposit will be held against damage or loss of any hired items. The deposit will be refunded on collection and inspection of all items. Normal "wear and tear" is acceptable.
• 6.2 The hirer is liable for any damage to the goods and will be charged accordingly.
• 6.3 The deposit will be refunded within 14 days of furniture collection, subject to any outstanding disputes

7. Insurance

• 7.1 Instant Home agrees to insure the goods against damage or loss during the hire period. Should however a claim arise the Hirer will be required to pay an excess of £150.00 plus VAT.

8. Contract Expiry

• 8.1 Should the hirer or Instant Home Ltd not give written notice to terminate the hire contract after the minimum contract period the furniture hire will continue to be hired on a one month notice agreement.
• 8.2 On expiry of a six month hire period and subject to all terms having been met, the hirer has the option to purchase the hired items. A purchase price is available on request.

9. Furniture Collection

• 9.1 Collection charges are the same as the delivery charge and are paid at the commencement of hire.
• 9.2 The hirer must give one month's written notice for the collection of items.
• 9.3 The Hirer must ensure, close, non chargeable parking and easy access is available for the collection of items.
• 9.4 Each linen pack hired will incur a £30 laundering fee and each bathroom pack a £5 laundering fee on collection of items.

10.Ownership

• 10.1 All goods remain the property of Instant Home Ltd at all times
• 10.2 Goods must remain at the delivery address throughout the hire period, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Should the Hirer move the items in part or whole an invoice will be raised for the purchase of all items.
• 10.3 This contract may not be assigned.
